Carlos Paradinha Jr.
Born in Newark, New Jersey in the early 60’s, my first exposure to photography was watching my father process black and white film in the makeshift darkroom in our family’s apartment bathroom as a young boy. I started using my own camera at the age of six.
I currently reside in Bremerton, WA working with a freelance graphic arts company, Abyssal, Inc., out of Seattle. I’ve worked as a photographer as well as a model, part owner, financial officer and administrative director. Through my work I’ve had the distinct privilege to work with the likes of DC Comics, Wizards of the Coast, Paizo Publishing, Vivendi Games, as well as Sony Entertainment Online. My photographs are seen world-wide through these clients.
I’m very detail oriented, muti-faceted, and a dynamic, charismatic and insightful photographer. A lover of light and classic lines, I bring out the glamour and beauty of whatever is placed before my lens. Through my Bachelor of Fine Arts studies at the Art Institute of Seattle, I learned the constructs, gained insight into the vast world of "light-writing," and learned to use my visual voice to apply my passion for visually sensual imagery into every facet of my photography. I delight in molding and shaping light to my desires and bringing a sense of allure, style, grace and power to my subjects. From portraiture to product, I infuse my particular essence into every image.
